How to qualify for Michigan Achievement Scholarship
The scholarship offers $ 2,750 per year for Community College, $ 4,000 per year for private college and $ 5,500 per year for public university.

Students have to fill free applications for federal student assistance (FAFSA) to qualify for state scholarship. The information provided on FAFSA helps schools determine whether students qualify for free tuition programs. The FAFSA student will determine the support index (SAI), which helps determine how much federal financial assistance students can get.
To qualify for the scholarship, students must have a SAI of $ 30,000 or less and meets other requirements. Qualifying students must also enroll and make full -time enrolls within 15 months of high school graduation.

Central Michigan University
The CMU Tuition Advantage includes a cost of 30 credit hours per academic year.
The student must be eligible for federal pail grant, and the student’s family adjusted gross income and family property, as determined by FAFSA.

Eastern tuition benefits include up to 16 credit hours per semester for eight semesters.
The student should have at least 3.0 grade point average and domestic income of less than $ 60,000 or will be eligible for federal pel grant.

Some students can qualify for free tuition and fees where they live or attend high school. Michigan has a “Promise Zone”, where students’ tuition and fees are covered to obtain an associate degree.
The community can also choose to cover the cost to earn a student graduate degree. Community colleges charge low tuition rates for students that live within a geographical area that pays local taxes to support the college. These students are considered “in-district”.
