IHSA Boys Wrestling State Championship
Class 3A: In Champaign, Dekalb’s Jacob Luce on Friday demolished his 165-pound semi-final match to Glenbard West’s Colin Karigan 7–0.
Luce still guarantees a medal and wrestling both the semi -finals on Saturday and the match in the third or fifth place. Team’s partner Hudson Econtes is alive for a medal on 138. He will need to win the third consolation round against Luke Civinski of Lincoln-West West. The IKENS is 2–1 in the tournament so far.
Kaden Clapprodt (113), Mekhi Cave (144), Sean Colkeback (175) and Lamar Bradley (215) were abolished from the tournament on Friday.
Class 2A: In Champaign, Sycamore’s Gable Caric is a win from earning a medal on 215 for a pair of winning with consolation brackets.
