IHSA Boys Personal Wrestling State Finals: At the State Farm Center in CHAMPAIGN, three numan wrestlers kept their weather alive, while seven other local people were abolished in Friday’s wrestling.
Pneumon Senior Carter Rood lost a final tiebreaker 3–2 against Unity Junior Kaden Inman in Class 1A 144-Pound semi-final match. Rood won two wins at the end of the third place of the tournament to enter the third and last day.
Pneumon Senior Brady Grenon (132 pounds) decided 9–2 against Oakwood Junior Pedro Rangel, and the Pneumine Junior Daniel Kelly (157) decided 15–9 against Da La Sail’s senior Nicholas Arvitis in the second round of Raceback. Both won three wins at the end of the third place.
Dixon’s freshman Jack Ragan (106) decided 6–4 in the first round of 2A Raceback against Glenwood Sophomore Tyler Clarke, but lost an eradicated match in the second round. Ragan finished its season with 38 wins, tied the Freshman Versity School Record for the same season.
Hansen (126), a Sophomore Ziler of Pneumon, was terminated in the first round of 1A wrestling.
Amboy Sophomore Landon Blanton (120) decided 7–2 against Wilmington Senior Landon Dole in the first round of 1A Race Amboy Senior Lucas Blanton (175) was terminated in the first round of wrestling.
Oregon Senior Anthony Bauur (157) pinned the Chicago Hope Junior Tony Jones-Blackley in the first round of wrestling in 5:23 and also pinned the Olympia Junior Calton Graden in the second round in 3:13, but ended in the third round.
Oregon Senior Quentin Berry (190) decided 15–9 in the first round of wrestling against Gibson City Melvin Senior Senior Aden Sankane, but it was abolished in the second round. Oregon Freshman Nelson Benesh (113) was also terminated in the second round of 1A wrestling.
Girls basketball
River Ridge/Scale Mound 48, Eastland 39: In Savannah, Kagar ended his season to Wildcats in class 1A West Carol Regional Last Damage.
Eastland (19–13) was led by Olivia Clynfelter with 12 points and five rebounds, keny barkholders with eight points, and Tricks Carol and Lily Mulene with each seven digits. Carol also had seven rebounds, three theft and three assistance.
Boys Basketball
Foreston 55, Ashton-Fanclin Center 31: In Forestton, Cardinals built the 21–9 Halftime lead and rolled the reders for a Nuik South win at the conclusion of their regular season.
Forests was led by Mickey Probest with 18 points and five stolen; Brendon Greenfield with 13 points, 12 rebounds and five assistance; And Kendall Edman with 13 points and four assistance. Brady Gill left nine points for cardinals.
Barrett Baker placed AFC with seven points.
