Fayetteville man convicted in murders of daughter, son-in-law

Fayetteville, a Fayet County man has to face two life gel conditions for parole for parole in January 2022 after being convicted on Friday after being shot and convicted by his daughter and son-in-law in January 2022.

Carl Cox (WVRRJA)

A 12-member jury found 61-year-old Carl Cox of Fieteville, 38-year-old Ronda Cox, and Jimmy Neil, 34, also from Fayetville, as they were sleeping on their bed in a house on Dempi Road.

The prosecutors said that Cox killed him as the couple were threatening to tell the police about many years of incest between Cox and his daughter who began when she was a minor.

Carl Cox reported that the police Neil killed Kax’s daughter and then after shooting Neil, Carl Cox was trying to take the gun away. The prosecutors said the home safety video denied the account.

Jury found Cox guilty of murder with Merce, which means that he would be a chance for parole after a 15-year prison sentence on both of them. The judge will decide whether the terms of life will be constantly served concurrently.
