Baker said, “I was the director of the University Galiaries at North Carolina A&T State University and I really enjoyed the cam in the past and I wanted to be a part of it, so I was lucky that I was the name of the Executive Director.”

“When you come to the cam rale, I really want people to feel at home,” said Baker. “I want it to be an acceptable museum, even if you have interested in art.

Came champions such as Kennedy Carter Emerging Artists who used to take a picture of Beyonse for the British Vogue after showing their work in the museum.
Baker said, “We are very proud of the artists that we have shown here in Camden, which are great places, they are going in the future.”
He also promoted established artists such as Lamar Vidbi, in whose work the intersection of art and medicine has been investigated.
Aspirational artists can present their portfolio for consideration, and the CAM actively looks for installed artists to create a stimulating mixture of talent.
As the first black executive director of Came Raley, Baker says that he sees his role as a potential role model for the professionals of the museum and wants to associate with communities rich in actively artistic talent.
Britney Murphy, a native and ambitious artist of Raley, described frequent trips for Came Raley as fresh and inspiring.
“Currently enrolled in school to improve his skills,” Murphy says, “Every trip on the cam left me strange by incredible artwork within my walls.”
She finds deeply meaningful to cope with art that not only tells stories, but also shows the spirit of the Rale community.

“It’s going to be amazing,” said Baker.
In late summer, CAM will also host a multi-event experience celebrating art and fashion intersection with local designers.
Baker said, “We want the art to be displayed in the CAM that reflects the communities around it.” “We think it is a good idea to a mix of artists established along with emerging artists. Who knows what kind of relationships can develop between those two types of artists showing here in the CAM.”
The first Friday in the CAM is famous, offering a lively mix of art exhibitions, food trucks, music and vendors. This is a perfect opportunity to sink itself in the local art scene and discover new talents.
Baker said, “I am a true believer in public access to art and I think it gives an opportunity to experience the beauty of art any day or night.”

Baker believes that art is the life of a community. The CAM is actively engaged in art education, reaches more than 300 children in the last summer, many from southeast ralets. They nurture tomorrow’s artists, who will tell the stories of their communities through their art.
“Right now, art is becoming moderate and substrate of many social movements, while during the civil rights movement, music was the substrate,” said Baker. “So we are excited that we can be a filter and a catalyst to take artists to the next level.”
