Palka, who provided personal protection for the Moon between 2008 and 2014 at the Grammy Awards, produced by CBS, shows documents in November 2017, informing the network officials about the complaint against the executive.
Through Palka, he says, Moonways obtained an unexpected copy of the police report, including personal information such as the house address and the accused’s phone number. Moonways met with Palka for an hour at a restaurant, to discuss the complaints and methods to calm it down.
The Moon was accused of three violations of the city rules.
A lawyer representing him did not respond to the email seeking immediate comments.
Palka retired in 2021 as a commander after about 35 years with Lapd.
Los Angeles’ official morality ordinance controls the operation of the city employees and forbids them to misuse or disclose the confidential information obtained through their work. The Commission will hold a meeting next week to discuss the disposal.
After the #MeToo movement in 2017 with allegations of sexual abuse against the film Mogul Harvey Venstein, Phyllis Golden-Gottlieb informed the police in Lapd’s Hollywood division that they were sexually harassed by Moon in 1986 and 1988 when they worked together in Lorimar Productions.
Golden-Gotlyb, who became public with his allegations in 2018, died in 2022.
Allegations of police intervention against Moon were reported in 2022, when New York’s Attorney General Latitia James announced an agreement, in which CBS and Moonways agreed to pay $ 30.5 million to keep the shareholders in the dark, while the authorities tried to prevent allegations of sexual attacks.
Moonways admitted to having a relationship with his three accused, but said that he was consent. He refused to attack anyone in a statement at that time, “False allegations of decades ago are now being made against me.”
Los Angeles County District Attorney refused to file criminal allegations against Moonways in 2018, stating that the allegations of Golden-Gotlib had ended the boundaries.
