Toronto-Duck allowed Auston Mathews to push his NHL-Agni targets to a total of 48 and add two assist for a career-high five points on Saturday night. Ducks lost to Toronto Maple Leafs 9–2.

Ryan Strome had a target and a support for duck, and Frank Vetrono also scored. Four goals were allowed at 18 shots in the first period before being replaced by John Gibson.

Matthews broke a tie for the Toronto record for a hat trick in a season with six, passed Reg Noble (1917–18), Babe Die (1924–25) and Darryl Sital (1980–81).
