Fort Lauderdel, Fla. (WSVN) – A teenage boy accused of bringing a friend’s gun at Dillard High School in Fort Lauderdel faced a judge.
Fifteen -year -old Kayalon Hubard Junior appeared in court on Friday. He was accused of keeping a gun on the school’s property.
Detectives said the court appearance a day later, a 16 -year -old 16 -year -old accidentally shot himself at a fast food restaurant and had to take him to the hospital.
Police said Hubard, a friend of the victim, picked up the gun and took him to school.
The firearm was found in a bag, which the detectives said, were injured 16 years old.
Police arrested Hubard without any incident.
The teenager was ordered to stay in safe detention for 21 days, while the state decides whether to prosecute or not.
