Lauderdel-by–C-C, Fla. (WSVN)-A little girl has died after falling into a hole on the beach in Lodardel-Bai-C-C.
Loddel-by-C Fire Rescue 4424 L Mar Drive reached the spot on Tuesday afternoon.
The 7skyforce hover over the scene, where the security cone and yellow tape surrounded the hole on the beach.
According to Pompean Beach officials, the younger girl died in the hospital.
According to the witnesses, both the children were inside the hole. One of the children, a little boy, was in the hole, but his head was out of the sand, while another child, another little girl, was still covered with sand. Once inside the hole, the sand collapsed on the children. He said that the little girl looked in a very thick shape than the little boy.
Bystanders said they believe the hole was five to six feet deep.
“The boy was three or four feet below, but at that time, his head was above the sand. I think her sister was next to her and she was further down. They tried to dig it, the more sand collapsed. Witness David Davis said he tried to put a board to try and prevent the sand from falling.
“So many sirens,” another person said.
A witness estimated that the children are about 7 years old.
According to the Browd Sheriff Office, at one point 20 people were trying to dig children out of the sand.
Talking to 7news, one of the people said that they have two daughters and they cannot believe what he was watching.
“I don’t know what happened, but I have 2 daughters, so I run it correctly,” the person said.
“We have 20 people who are trying to find a child. The child is about 8 years old, ”the dispatcher said.
The children were removed from the hole and taken to the Browd Health Medical Center for treatment.
“I have never heard of anything before, especially the size of the hole, it is crazy,” a person said that helped the children to dig.
“How are you looking for something like that?” Asked the reporter.
“It’s hard, it’s difficult,” Davis said.
As soon as the children reached the hospital, they were receiving chest compression.
In the hospital, little boys, as well as his other loved ones, were waiting in the emergency room.
Beach Gair said that he did not know what was going on until he was watching the ruckus.
“It’s terrible, it’s terrible,” said Carroll Kulkin.
It is not clear whether the children are local or from outside the city. Children’s relationship is also unknown. Officials do not even know how the hole in the sand was made.
